The first weekend of October saw Pullar Productions at the Northwest Bookfest 2011 in Kirkland.  When we arrived to set up our booth on Saturday morning, we found that our booth had a roof; however, it had no sides and was setup on a hill! Standing there staring the sloping ground, I found myself inspired by Tim Gunn on “Project Runway“ – “Make it work!” And that’s what we did.  A rapid redesign produced a 3-foot booth space that was inviting and interesting for authors and attendees of the Bookfest.  Visitors to our booth were from everywhere, and were happy to have us put them on our map. Many of our visitors were from all over Puget Sound, including Bellingham, Chehalis, and from other states like Alaska and Kansas. Several had even traveled from as far away as Russia, Chile, Mexico, Australia, UK, and Spain. We met many interesting folks who had included a visit to the Bookfest in their stays in our well-read Northwest.  They certainly added to our fun during our weekend at the Bookfest.
